Mountain Music Return Policy

Are you renting an instrument? If you are renting and renting to own an instrument, you may return your instrument to either store, ship the instrument or, in some cases, arrange a pick up of the instrument. Once the instrument is in our possession at a store location, no further rental charges will be assessed. 

Do you need to return merchandise? You may return new items if unused or unopened for exchange or a full refund within 30 days. For orders that included Free Shipping, the initial shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. 

If you return merchandise by shipping, expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper. However, you may receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Before you send back merchandise for return, contact the store to notify us of the return and to ensure your purchase is eligible for return according to our records of the transaction.

To prepare your item for shipping.

  • Instruments must be inside a case AND boxed with packaging or double boxed with packaging around both boxes.
  • Merchandise must be returned in the condition they were received with the original packaging, manuals, warranty cards, accessories, etc.

Return Exceptions 

The following products are not returnable unless defective:

  • Print Music
  • Special Orders if they are not restockable 
  • Custom orders of an instrument. 

Special Order items that are returnable are subject to a restocking fee of up to 50% of the selling price.
